It is not widely known that the pipes are a living, breathing instrument, which plays differently under different circumstances - depending on temperature, humidity, and whether outdoor or indoor.  We only have players who are adept at playing under different circumstances, and know how to adjust their bagpipes accordingly, to ensure that you get the best from your piper on the day.
